AFC Wimbledon tweet cute Valentine’s Day message to lonely supporters

Awww! Dons tweet Valentine’s poem to lonely fans

For some football fans, their team is the only true love in their life – and Valentine’s Day occurs every Saturday, usually at about 3pm.

However, on actual Valentine’s Day, League Two outfit AFC Wimbledon have moved to share the love with their lonely supporters, who woke up this morning without a card or flowers.

In a tweet posted on their official account, they made sure all supporters felt appreciated by the team with a poetic message.

‘Roses are Red, Dons wear Blue, You might not get a card, But we still love you,’ the tweet read.

Awwww, bless. We at Metro have plenty of time and love for our football teams – so it’s always nice to see a club give something back.
