Aston Villa fans were far from pleased with Gabriel Agbonlahor's performance against Cardiff.

According to the Villa faithful, the 27-year-old was guilty of squandering match-winning opportunities more than once during the 0-0 draw.

Whether it was dallying for too long on the ball during a one-on-one, or missing from point-blank range, it's fair to say Agbonlahor didn't endear himself to the visiting fans - and they didn't hold back with their criticism.

The words 'terrible', 'incredibly poor' and 'embarrassingly bad' were just some of the comments dished out on Twitter after the game, while the 27-year-old was also handed the award of 'miss of the season' by one fan.

Boss Paul Lambert was similarly disappointed, telling reporters: “I thought second half there was only one team that looked likely to win it.

"I thought Leo [Bacuna] should have scored and Gabby should have scored - and I thought Christian [Benteke] should have hit it, rather than trying to pass it."

Benteke also came in for some flak from the Villa supporters - but not half as much as Agbonlahor, who suffered a night to forget both on the pitch and on social media...
