Terry is ready to return to action

Chelsea defender John Terry will return to action this weekend after recovering from a muscle strain.

The Blues captain has missed Chelsea's last three games due to injury but is expected to shake off the knock in time to face Everton this weekend.

Terry's return to the first-team fold will provide Chelsea with a timely boost as the west London side face a tough run of fixtures.

Blues boss Jose Mourinho will want his inspirational captain at the heart of his side's defence in the next few weeks as Chelsea face tricky encounters against the likes of Everton, Galatasaray and Fulham.

The west London outfit have won one, drawn one and lost one during Terry's time on the sidelines, which shows just how much Chelsea depend on the 33-year-old former England international.

Terry is expected to go straight into the starting line-up to play the Toffees on Saturday as David Luiz has been ruled out of the Premier League encounter.
