Everton snatch a late win

Everton kept the pressure on the Premier League European places by beating Cardiff City 2-1 at Goodison Park on Saturday afternoon.
An injury time goal from Seamus Coleman sealed the win for Roberto Martinez’s side after Cardiff fought back from being 1-0 down

The Toffees finally found a chink in the Cardiff rear-guard on the hour mark. On loan midfielder Gerard Deulofeu skipped past Gary Medel on the left and shaped to cross, but his effort rebounded off Stephen Caulker and in past David Marshall in the Cardiff goal.
It was no more than Everton deserved after having the better of an entertaining first half, with only Marshall keeping the Bluebirds level. Coleman caused problems down the right for the Toffees and his running eventually led to chances for Romelu Lukaku and Kevin Mirallas on to be denied by Marshall and company.
Cardiff’s best effort arrived courtesy of Frazier Campbell who latched onto a Craig Noone pass, but his shot was dealt with by Tim Howard in Everton’s goal.
The Bluebirds equalised with just over 20 minutes to play through Juan Torres Ruiz Cala. The Spanish defender blundered the ball past Howard after a Peter Whittingham’s cross ricocheted of his thigh and face to level the scores.
Everton pressed once more for a goal, but were again frustrated by Marshall who made a brilliant stop from Lukaku with the clock ticking down.
The Toffees stole it at the end of the game when the impressive Coleman fed off a Gareth Barry headed pass to blazed the ball home in jury time to help his team secure a 2-1 win
