Straight after the defeat to Atletico Madrid, Eden Hazard appeared on French TV. What he said has hit the headlines, but it's far from the whole truth.
Wednesday night was one to forget for Chelsea and Jose Mourinho, even more so for Belgian forward Eden Hazard. The former Lille winger was mostly to blame for two of Atletico Madrid’s goals during the 3-1 defeat at Stamford Bridge, and his comments to French station beIN Sport were broadcast all over the internet within minutes.
Jose Mourinho will perhaps want an explanation from Hazard, but analysis that the Belgian may be set to leave the club are no more than a knee jerk reaction and one based on some clever editing from the French TV station.
One of the problems for Hazard will be that many news outlets failed to quote the full comment, concentrating on the negative part.
