Less than 30 seconds after the restart, Cardoselli found himself all alone in front of Granata goalkeeper Andrea Zaccagno to fire the Aquile ahead.

The goal seemed to startle Toro as Zaccagno was forced into three great saves to keep them in the match, as Inzaghi’s side were left wondering how they weren’t ahead by more than just the one goal.

Lazio were made to pay for their lack of finishing as the Granata equalised in the 77th minute. Berardi collected a low cross and tapped in from close range to level the scoreline.

Toro surged forward, earning a penalty minutes later, only for Massimo Martino’s effort to be denied by Kristjan Matosevic in the Lazio goal.

As a result the match went to extra time, but it was the Granata who would get the last laugh as Bortoluz took advantage of a Biancocelesti mistake in defence, firing home with the outside of his boot to earn the Turin side their first Supercoppa Primavera.
