The Dutchman was on the end of stinging criticism from Wenger who said Robben "made the most" of his tussle with Wojciech Szczesny.
The Gunners stopper made contact with Robben and the referee had no choice but to give a penalty and dismiss the Pole
But Robben hasn't taken Wenger's comments lying down and joins Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho in laying into the Frenchman.
Robben said: "Wenger’s comments are typical for a losing coach.
"I don’t care much about it, because it’s not the first time he acts like this.
“It was a pretty scary moment for me. I picked up a serious injury in December after a similar foul from Augsburg’s goalkeeper.”
And the Gunners certainly have an almighty task on their hands if they are to turn it around and progress to the quarter finals.
