Barcelona and Spanish playmaker Andres Iniesta has thanked the fans for the support he and his wife, Anna Ortiz, have been receiving since the loss their baby. Iniesta and his wife had lost their unborn child due to miscarriage and the two have been mourning their loss in privacy. Iniesta missed Barcelona's last game due to the loss and has admitted he took time off to be with his family but was gratfeull for the love he received from the fans.
In his post on his Facebook account, Iniesta says: "we can't thank you enough for all of your support and affection over these last several days. My family and I are overwhelmed and are infinitely grateful to all of you. There are difficult times and we thank you for respecting our privacy. We're certain that for up above, the little one will help us...Big hus fr everyone."
