One of the great things about football and sport in general is its capacity to surprise, although this is not necessarily something that brings joys to punters.
Fortunately there should be no surprises this weekend as Real Betis host Atletico Madrid in what looks like a nailed on win for the visitors.
Indeed title chasing Atletico were already massive favorites against rock-bottom Betis even before Thursday night's epic Seville derby in the Europa League which saw the verdiblancos
exit the competition on penalties to their eternal rivals.
The Andalusians then will be distraught and drained both physically and emotionally and while they are
available at 5/1 (6.00) to beat Ateti, the price of 4/7 (1.57) for an away win looks infinitely more appealing.
Yet those odds are a little too small for our purposes here so instead consider the fantastic price of 6/4 (2.50) for Atletico to win by two goals or more.
Betis' defence is the second worse in the division and the last time a top team came to the Benito Villamarin, Real Madrid scored five.
Diego Simeone's men are not quite as expansive as Los Blancos, but their relentless intensity will be far too much for an exhausted Betis, making this arguably one of the best bets in Spain this
weekend.
