Good news for injury-hit Mamelodi Sundowns is that captain Alje Schut is available for selection again.

Schut: Will add steel in defence

A quad strain has kept the Dutch defender out for the last three matches, but he could be back for Saturday's clash with Polokwane City at the Loftus Stadium, according to a report on the club's official website.

Goalkeeper Kennedy Mweene is also back in the frame after a scan for concussion cleared him of any serious injury.

Punch Masenamela, Tiyani Mabunda and Sibusiso Kumalo have also returned to training and will provide more options for coach Pitso Mosimane, who has been bemoaning the long injury list of late.

Tebogo Langerman and Elias Pelembe however remain in doubt after limping off in last weekend's win over AmaZulu, while Khama Billiat and Cuthbert Malajila are said to be making good progress from their respective injuries, but have not yet been cleared to train.
