can confirm that Orlando Pirates defender Thabo Matlaba will miss the match against Mpumalanga Black Aces tonight at Mbombela Stadium.
The 26-year-old’s agent, Abbie Rasimphi of Liberate Resources Sports Management, confirms the news, saying: “He has flu and the doctor has given him until tomorrow to recover.”
Matlaba was benched by new coach Vladimir Vermezovic for the Soweto Derby on Saturday and later came on in the 71st minute to replace Mpho Makola.
Until now, he has missed just one League match all season, starting 18 and coming off the bench once.
