Robbie picked up the player of the year gong, and he did so in LA, with his new comedy partner Bruce Arena.
Eight goals in 2013 was enough to earn Robbie Keane the nod as the FAI’s Senior Player of the Year for 2013. The Dubliner saw off Seamus Coleman and David Forde to the award but with the MLS season about to kick off, Robbie was not in Dublin for the ceremony.
So RTE sent a camera over to LA to film Robbie getting the award from his LA Galaxy gaffer Bruce Arena. The video clip seemed to be going as normal, with the usual slightly stilted chat between the two lads, while Arena stares out at the camera in a slightly disturbing way while Robbie talks.
But it is the end of the clip that means you have to watch, as the two lads pull off a classic, off-camera, stunt. Okay, they are not quite in the Morecambe and Wise league just yet but it is their first attempt. We expect an even better effort next season.
