TOP 10 CONCLUSIONS: PREMIER LEAGUE WEEKEND, 8-9 MARCH

1. This was the weekend of the dodgy headed backpass. Crystal Palace’s Jason Puncheon and Tottenham’s Kyle Walker both cost their teams goals with crazy headers.

2. Following on from that, we can conclude that there were plenty of ill-advised nods of the head even though Alan Pardew’s Newcastle didn’t have a game.

3. Steven Caulker loves scoring against Fulham. His two goals on Saturday will be massive if Cardiff are to get themselves out of the relegation zone.

4. Pepe Mel and Felix Magath continued to add weight to the argument that West Brom and Fulham’s problems might have extended beyond their form managers.

5. After months of being told he is one of football’s hottest talents, Adnan Januzaj has finally settled on Diego Maradona.
