When a young fan ran onto the pitch after South Africa’s friendly with Brazil, stewards were quick to burst into action to remove him – as he headed towards the players.
But in a cute twist, instead of being grabbed and thrown out of the stadium, the young lad was rescued by Barcelona superstar Neymar, who would give him a moment to remember.
While most pitch-invaders get pretty rough treatment for the serious offence, Neymar instead made it all worthwhile.
He scooped up the little boy from pitch officials and carried him over to meet the Brazil squad – much to the delight of the cheering crowd.

It got better though – as the whole squad soon posed for photos with the boy, before Neymar published them on his official Twitter page.
The heart-warming moment clearly meant a lot to the South Africa fan, with the chance to meet Neymar – football’s newest superstar – a huge thing.
And they say all footballers are the same…
